Vacancy Description: A well-known company in Patna are looking for a time served/trained, multi skilled Engineer with a hands-on background and a good working knowledge of plant machinery for a management position. Particular responsibility will involve the operation and maintenance of packaging machines. The contract is permanent. Reporting directly to the Managing Director, you will be highly reactive to meeting day to day maintenance, repair, troubleshooting and servicing of production manufacturing machinery. You will be joining a small team to develop and maintain all plant and facilities ensuring optimum levels of productivity, service, reliability and safety. As an accredited medical device manufacturer working within both EN13485 and ISO9001, an important aspect of this position will be adhering to Standard Operating Procedures. The successful candidate will understand and appreciate the importance of completing correct documentation. This is an exciting role where you will work with senior management, production staff and quality personnel to ensure key targets of limiting downtime through breakdowns and preventative maintenance is achieved. Day-to-day responsibilities: - Carry out essential machine maintenance duties reacting to a fast pace production environment. - Planning and undertaking scheduled maintenance on key equipment. - Replacement, repair and manufacture of mechanical parts. - Basic electrical fault finding and repairs. - Providing assistance to any Project Team on implementing changes to equipment. - Supporting any audits carried out in the department. - Supporting any investigations as a result of product performance / complaints and any root cause analysis. - General maintenance of the main facility. - Responding to breakdowns across the site in a timely manner ensuring minimum disruption to productivity. - Diagnosing faults and making recommendations for plant improvement in terms of safety and productivity. - Supervising future engineering and technical staff / sub-contractors where appropriate to ensure tasks are undertaken properly and safely. - Obtaining specialist components, fixtures or fittings as necessary to undertake duties. - To help with the training of employees on plant and facilities as required. - Ensuring documentation and paperwork is up-to-date and completed in a professional manner which meets industry standards - Take a leading role on Health and Safety compliance within the business and take an active part in Risk Assessments, including Fire Marshalling. Key Skills: - You must be a time served City in Guilds / NVQ qualified mechanically bias maintenance engineer with a basic working knowledge of electrical systems. - Technically astute in diagnosing breakdowns, fault finding and decision making to minimalize downtime. - Flexibility and energetic to meet a very demanding production environment. - High attention to detail and experience in monitoring and updating high specification production equipment. - Strong team work with the initiative to work as part of a highly skilled team. - Reliable and consistent in execution of workloads with strong communication to liaise with production, maintenance and management. - Demonstrate an ability to complete written tasks, professionally and on time. Hours: To be discussed during interview. Rate of Pay: Dependent on experience and will be discussed during interview.
