Vacancy Description: A well-known company in Ayr are looking for a confident and knowledgeable Production Engineer Manager. The contract is full-time, permanent. Day-to-day responsibilities will include ensuring that production equipment is well maintained, calibrated and readily available when required, assisting with new equipment installation, planning preventative maintenance schedules, ensuring health and safety regulations are met within he factory, ordering parts/materials and preparing review documentation. The production/ maintenance engineer will be responsible for the technical support, maintenance and control of industrial production equipment and facilities to ensure the correct operation to the quality management system. The successful applicant will report directly to the companys Managing Director. Key Attributes / Knowledge: - An enthusiasm to understand the detail of the manufacturing equipment, processes and facility requirements. - Effective communication skills in reporting and directing a maintenance program with a hands-on attitude to maintenance and engineering. - Flexibility and responsiveness to changes in job schedules and priorities. - Willingness to learn, contribute and actively develop and improve operations, including better practice and the use of technology. - Diligence in timekeeping, attendance and general commitment to the basic objectives of the Company. - Identifying, analysing and monitoring activities to drive improvements. - Observe the principles of GMP, Working Procedures, General Rules and Company Procedures within the Quality and Health & Safety systems. - Previous experience on a Multivac system will be a distinct advantage, although training will be provided. This role will develop with the individual and their skill set depending upon their needs and also the needs of the company, this will be discussed in more detail at interview. Ideal candidate will be a multi-skilled engineer / fitter that can adapt and cover the full engineering requirements of the site, where external training is required this will be provided or sub-contracted depending upon the long term requirements of the business. Full-time: 38 hours per week Salary: Dependent on experience. Will be discussed during interview.
