    AllNeeds Recruitment are delighted to be supporting a well-established and growing Client with the appointment of an experienced Multi-Utility Designer & Estimating Engineer

    This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled utilities professional with a strong background in multi-utility network design estimating and project costing to join a dynamic and forward-thinking business operating across the utilities sector.

    The successful candidate will bring proven experience within multi-utilities with strong technical knowledge spanning electricity gas and water infrastructure alongside a solid understanding of industry regulations asset adoption requirements and utility design standards. This role requires someone who can confidently interpret project requirements develop compliant and commercially viable designs and support projects from initial enquiry through to successful delivery.

    Key Responsibilities

  • Assess incoming enquiries and identify viable tender opportunities within the multi-utilities sector
  • Review project specifications drawings and client requirements to determine scope of works
  • Produce accurate and compliantmulti-utility designs for electric gas and water infrastructure
  • Develop designs in line with industry standards and accreditation requirements including NERS GIRS and WIRS
  • Provide practical and cost-effective engineering alternatives where appropriate
  • Prepare detailed estimates costings and tender submissions within agreed deadlines
  • Liaise with adopting asset owners including DNOs IDNOs IGTs water authorities and utility providers
  • Coordinate with internal project civils and construction teams to ensure smooth project delivery
  • Attend site visits design meetings and client meetings as required
  • Support technical problem solving throughout the project lifecycle

    The ideal candidate will demonstrate:

  • Proven experience in a Multi-Utility Designer Utility Estimator or Utility Project Costing role
  • Strong background within the multi-utilities sector with working knowledge of electric gas and water network design
  • Thorough understanding of utility diversion new connections infrastructure upgrades and asset adoption processes
  • Strong knowledge of NERS GIRS and WIRS accreditation standards
  • Good understanding of utility construction methodologies and associated civils works
  • Ability to read and interpret utility plans schematics and technical drawings
  • Strong commercial awareness with experience producing accurate estimates and tender submissions
  • Experience liaising with DNOs IDNOs IGTs and other utility stakeholders
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple live enquiries simultaneously
  • Experience using CRM or project tracking systems
  • Full UK Driving Licence
