Working Hours: Monday – Friday | 09:00 – 17:00

Contract Type: Temporary – Ongoing

Pay Rate: £12.60 per hour

Overview: We are currently recruiting for an experienced Medical Audio Typist to join our client on a temporary ongoing basis. This role offers an excellent opportunity for a skilled typist with strong medical terminology knowledge and exceptional attention to detail. Hours will initially be 2 to 3 days per week, moving to full-time Monday to Friday for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities

  • Accurately transcribing medical audio recordings into written reports and correspondence
  • Ensuring high levels of accuracy, grammar, formatting, and confidentiality
  • Working with medical terminology across a range of documents
  • Editing and proofreading typed documents to ensure consistency and quality
  • Managing workload efficiently to meet deadlines
  • Maintaining patient confidentiality and data protection standards
  • Supporting general administrative tasks where required

  • Candidate Requirements
  • Proven experience as an Audio Typist, ideally within a medical environment
  • Strong knowledge of medical terminology (essential)
  • Excellent typing speed and accuracy
  • High attention to detail and strong organisational skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively
  • Reliable, punctual, and professional
  • Strong IT skills and familiarity with transcription software
