Vacancy Description: About the Business: Our Clients Bakery has entered an exciting new chapter. What started as a favourite stop for a coffee and pastry became something more when they heard the bakery was closing and decided to say what if. A month later the keys were handed over and the bakery was reborn still the much loved local bakery now proudly rooted in our clients vision. From the flour in the dough to the cheese in the toasties and the beef in the mains everything is prepared with care ethics and taste at the heart of it.

    The Role: We are looking for a talented strong higher-level cook/chef to join the team and help shape the daytime menu. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who loves fresh seasonal food and enjoys working with local organic ingredients in a relaxed environment – no late nights just great food and great people. You’ll work Thursday to Sunday 07:30 – 16:00 supporting breakfast brunch and lunch service along with bakery and counter offerings.

    Key Responsibilities: Prepare and cook a range of dishes for our farm shop bakery menu including breakfasts light lunches specials and bakery accompaniments

    • Champion the use of local organic and ethical ingredients maintaining the ethos in every plate
    • Support menu planning and development bringing fresh ideas and seasonal specials
    • Ensure consistently high standards of food quality presentation and portion control
    • Maintain excellent standards of food safety hygiene and allergen control in line with legislation and company procedures
    • Work closely with the front-of-house and bakery teams to ensure smooth service and a great customer experience
    • Assist with ordering stock rotation and minimising waste
    • Help train and support junior team members where required

      About You

    • Experienced cook/chef with a background in cafés bakeries or similar fresh food environments
    • Passionate about good food local produce and delivering a memorable customer experience
    • Able to work confidently on your own initiative during quieter times and as part of a small friendly team during busy periods
    • Organised tidy and calm under pressure
    • Strong understanding of food hygiene and HACCP principles
    • A positive can-do attitude and willingness to get stuck in across the kitchen when needed
