Vacancy Description: HR Generalist/Advisor About the Role We are delighted to be supporting our client in the recruitment of an experienced HR Generalist to join their team based in Kilmarnock. This is a hands-on, “doing” role covering all aspects of HR — including recruitment, employee relations, and general HR administration. The successful candidate will play a key part in delivering a high-quality HR service, providing practical, day-to-day support across the business. Key Responsibilities Manage the full employee lifecycle, from recruitment and onboarding to leavers and offboarding. Lead and coordinate end-to-end recruitment activities, including job adverts, shortlisting, interviews, and offers. Provide advice and guidance to managers on employee relations matters, ensuring fair and consistent application of HR policies and procedures. Support disciplinary, grievance, and performance management processes. Maintain and update HR systems and personnel files, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GDPR and company policies. Monitor absence management and coordinate occupational health referrals as required. Contribute to HR projects such as policy reviews, engagement initiatives, and training development. Produce HR reports and metrics to support management decision-making. Ensure compliance with UK employment legislation and HR best practice. About You CIPD qualified (or working towards) or possess equivalent HR experience. Strong generalist HR background with exposure to recruitment, employee relations, and HR administration. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and build relationships across all levels. Hands-on, proactive, and highly organised with strong attention to detail. Confident working in a fast-paced, varied HR role. Sound knowledge of current UK employment law and HR best practice.
