An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and motivated Quantity Surveyor to join a well-established Dumfries-based company known for delivering high-quality Building Construction and Civil Engineering projects across the region. - Key Responsibilities
Prepare, manage, and track project budgets and costs
Produce accurate cost estimates, tender documents, and bills of quantities
Assess and value subcontractor applications and variations
Work with the site and project management team to monitor progress and ensure commercial objectives are achieved
Prepare interim valuations and final accounts
Identify, assess, and manage commercial risks
Ensure compliance with contractual terms and current legislation
Liaise with clients, suppliers, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth project delivery
- Requirements
Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline
Minimum 2 years of industry experience in a similar role
Proficient in cost estimation, contract administration, and financial reporting
Strong communication, negotiation, and analytical skills
Proficient with Microsoft Office and QS software
Full UK driving licence (essential)
