Vacancy Description: Our clients are seeking a dedicated Registered Veterinary Nurses (RVN) to join our team. As an integral part of the veterinary practice, the RVN will plays a key role in patient care, supporting the veterinary surgeons, and ensuring the smooth running of clinical operations. The ideal candidate will be proactive, empathetic, and passionate about delivering the highest standards of animal care.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide high-standard nursing care to in-patients, including monitoring vital signs, administering medications, and providing post-operative care.
Assist in the preparation and monitoring of patients for surgery and anaesthesia.
Perform diagnostic tests such as blood sampling, laboratory work, and radiography under veterinary direction.
Deliver excellent client care, including advising pet owners on preventative healthcare and aftercare.
Maintain accurate clinical records and ensure all nursing documentation is up-to-date.
Support and mentor student veterinary nurses and junior staff.
Ensure cleanliness and hygiene standards are upheld in clinical areas.
Dispense medication and stock veterinary supplies in accordance with legal and practice protocols.
Requirements:
Registered with the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons (RCVS).
Demonstrated experience in a veterinary nursing role.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong organisational and time-management abilities.
Ability to work effectively within a team and independently.
Compassionate approach to animals and their owners.
