Vacancy Description: A position has become available in a family run business as a Vehicle Technician / Mechanic in Kilmarnock East Ayrshire! Contract: Full Time ongoing with potential for a permanent for the right person. Qualifications; Qualified to NVQ Level 3. Duties; Inspecting vehicles and diagnosing any required work. Discussing required repairs with customers. Calculating the expected time and cost of vehicle work. Repairing or replacing components as required. Road testing vehicles to test repair work. Fitting and servicing vehicle accessories including immobilizers alarms and stereos. Performing service checks. Performing vehicle maintenance tasks such as changing oil and air filters as required. Cleaning and maintaining the work environment to ensure equipment longevity and workplace safety. Essential: Must have previous garage experience. Must have own tools. MOT Testing experience would be advantageous Full UK driving licence. Able to work on their own initiative. Ability to talk and build rapport with customers. Days: Monday - Friday. Pay Rate: Starting at £14 however this can be discussed at interview depending on experience.
